Recreation Center Reopening Information

Starting on August 24, all individuals will need either a Rec Center membership, or an all-access pass to participate in either S.W.E.A.T. or Mind/Body classes. Both types of classes will remain free for members. Non-members will be eligible to purchase all-access passes for $45/month, which will grant access to all of the drop-in virtual programming offered by the Fitness Program. Nirvana Sessions and Stretch Breaks will remain free, though interested individuals will need new passwords as Zoom has updated policies that require this.

We will send out additional communication with more details on how to purchase passes and access classes closer to this date.

Mind & Body

Our fitness program offers a variety of yoga classes to keep you active. The word yoga means "union" or "yoke," uniting both mind and body. We offer a variety of styles looking to help with breathing techniques and postures necessary to improve strength & flexibility, and overall well-being of a regular mind & body practice. All participants must be current Recreation Center members and need either a daily pass or an unlimited semester pass to be admitted. All unlimited Mind&Body passes must be purchased online. S.W.E.A.T.

Our S.W.E.A.T. schedule offers a variety of classes looking to motivate you through your week! We offer a variety of cardio, strength, and core classes to get you fit. Whether you're looking to get started with your workouts, looking for a new challenge, or maintain your fitness, we have a class for you. Personal Training

The Personal Training program strives to help you reach your goals and get results, all while improving quality of life! Our trainers will create safe and effective programs to empower you with knowledge and skills you need to begin or continue towards improvement. Pilates Reformer and Gyrotonic Equipment: Private and Duet Sessions

If you're interested in fine tuning athletic skills, have musculoskeletal pains that come along with staying active or working out, or are not getting the desired physique through traditional workouts, private training in Pilates and Gyrotonic can effectively help address these issues to meet goals. Specialty Programs

We offer a variety of special classes which run between four and six weeks. These classes are by registration only due to the progressive structure of the class. All programs listed take place at the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center unless noted otherwise, and are open to members and non-members of the facility. Fitness Testing

If you are interested in your body composition and overall fitness, our personal trainers will take you through a test to gauge your cardio, muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. These tests are scheduled to meet your needs. Fitness tests must be purchased online. Once purchased, you will be contacted by our Fitness team to schedule your assessment.
