Adventure Trip Participation Policy
All pre-trip meetings, if included with the adventure, require mandatory attendance.
Pre-trip meetings are vital to the success of an adventure. It’s in these meetings that important information is shared, equipment is issued, questions are asked and answered, and participants can play an active role in the trip preparation process. Absence from a pre-trip meeting forfeits both spot on the trip and all registration fees.
Participants are responsible for reviewing trip itineraries and understanding eligibility requirements.
Some of our excursions are physically challenging and well away from front country care. To ensure the health and safety of ALL participants, it’s imperative that participants be objective and honest about fitness and experience levels. Registrations that include false or misleading information are subject to cancellation and forfeiture of fees.
Take time to disconnect.
ROPE trips offer students a chance to disengage from everyday habits by offering full immersion experiences. Phones may be used as cameras, but all connectivity must be turned off while on trail.
Just say no.
Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, and recreational drugs or products are strictly prohibited on all ROPE trips and experiences.
Cancellations, Refunds and Deposits, Oh My.
For single day adventures, refunds will be granted, less a $15 administrative fee, if made more than 10 days from the scheduled event. Multi-day adventures that include a non-refundable deposit will also be withheld. Registrants who cancel less than 10 days from the trip will not be eligible for a refund.
Trips may be cancelled for severe weather, road conditions, recreation area closures, instructor illness, or registration numbers. In the event ROPE should need to cancel a trip, we will schedule an alternative date, issue a full credit, or refund for registration fees.
Adventure Trip Participation Policy agreement is required before registering for a trip.
