Rice Recreation now offers DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scans! Scans will be available to the public on Nov. 4, 2024.

In the world of health and wellness, the importance of body composition for longevity and quality of life cannot be emphasized enough. Rice's Health and Wellness Program is continuing to grow and is excited to bring you the gold standard in body composition analysis: Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry, aka DEXA!

DEXA scans are a valuable tool that helps you understand non-invasively what is happening inside your body. They create a window into the makeup of your body that will help determine the best fitness and nutrition strategies based on what YOUR body needs most for overall health.
