Requests for facility reservations should be submitted in writing at least two weeks in advance. Submission of a space request form does not confirm a reservation. All reservations are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A rental fee may be charged for Recreation Center facilities. A complete list of spaces and a schedule are available below.
To request a reservation, please complete the online space request form at least two weeks prior to the event date. Please do not advertise your planned event until a written confirmation is received.

*To qualify for the dept. rate, 100% of the participants must be from the Rice community.
**To qualify for the sponsored rate, the event must be sanctioned and approved by Rice University (Athletic dept. sponsored sports camps fall into this category). To qualify for the non-profit rate, proof of 501c status is required.
***During Operating Hours Lifeguard Rate: $25 per hour for groups up to 25 people, $50 per hour for groups of 26-50 people, $75 per hour for groups of 51-75 people. (Fee will vary outside operating hours)
****$100 fee per field will apply to all field lining requests.
Additional notes
• Non-Rec Center members will be required to purchase a $10 guest pass whether using the facility or attending an event.
• All reservations must be made in writing and are not confirmed until a written confirmation is sent to the event coordinator.
• A cancellation fee will be assessed for any reservation request that is not cancelled at least 5 business days prior to the event.
• The licensee must purchase liability insurance to cover a minimum of $1,000,000.
A 25% deposit is due 30 days prior to the reservation time. The balance is due 72 hours before the scheduled reservation time. After the 30 day request, there will be a 50% deposit. The balance is due 72 hours before the scheduled reservation time.
