Welcome to Health and Well-Being Coaching

Our Health and Well-Being Coaching Program offers personalized, one-on-one support to help you explore your goals, navigate challenges, and build sustainable momentum towards a healthier you. Sessions are tailored to your needs, addressing areas like stress, nutrition, movement, mindset, and recovery.


What is Health and Wellness Coaching?

A Health and Wellness Coach is a behavior change expert and supportive partner. They work with you to help you identify your own health goals, uncover what truly motivates you, and develop a personalized, step-by-step plan to achieve sustainable lifestyle changes. Your coach serves as a thought partner — helping you explore what matters most, identify practical next steps, and build habits that enhance your energy, focus, and balance at work and at home.

All Rice employees receive three free coaching sessions per calendar year, offered through the Employee Well-Being program. For non-Rice affiliates or Rice employees seeking additional support, alternative packages and services are available for a nominal fee. Your greatest investment is your time, attention, and willingness to explore what supports your well-being.

Fresh Start Coaching Series

Free for Rice employees!

This starter package includes 3 x 50-minute 1:1 coaching sessions, designed to help you explore your well-being goals, navigate challenges, and create a personalized wellness roadmap. You’ll receive support tailored to your specific needs in areas like stress, nutrition, movement, mindset, or recovery.

Anyone new to coaching, seeking a reset, or needing clarity and initial support.

Enhanced Health & Fitness Journey

Physical health and improved fitness

This package is designed for employees who want a more in-depth understanding of their physical health and structured fitness guidance. Includes a 60-minute “Deep Dive” session for goal mapping, aligning with your values, and identifying barriers, and is followed by:

  • Advanced Health Assessment:

    • DEXA Total Body Composition Scan: A comprehensive, non-invasive scan that provides a detailed look at body composition and bone mineral density.

    • DEXA Consultation (30 minutes): A dedicated consultation to interpret scan results and help you make informed decisions about your health strategies.

  • Personalized Fitness Training:

    • Individual Weight Room Orientation and 3 Private Training Sessions: Tailored, 60-minute sessions with a nationally certified trainer. ~ OR~ Recovery & Mobility Services: Includes 3 sessions with a mobility specialist, offering services such as stretching, sleep support and other recovery practices designed to aid physical well-being.

Reset & Recover

Stress and restoration

This package includes 3 x 50-minute coaching sessions intensely focused on energy recovery, mindful stress reduction, and a mindset reset. These sessions support nervous system balance, stress regulation, and emotional resilience.

Additional Access To: Virtual Mindfulness Classes, Meditation Sessions, and Workshops

Optional Add-On: Recovery & Mobility Services: Includes 3 sessions with a mobility specialist, offering services such as stretching, sleep support and other recovery practices designed to aid physical well-being.

Nourish & Fuel

Nutrition and energy

Benefit from 3 x 50-minute coaching sessions centered on consistency in eating, managing cravings, structuring meals, and addressing emotional eating. This blends mindset coaching with expert nutrition support.

Anyone confused about food, struggling with energy, or seeking practical, personalized nutrition strategies.

Midlife Reset

Mid-life transitions and energy changes

Receive 3 x 50-minute coaching sessions dedicated to developing hormone-friendly habits, managing stress, improving sleep, and navigating identity shifts during midlife. This supports body composition, mindset, and long-term vitality.

Additional Access To: Virtual Mindfulness Classes, Meditation Sessions, and Workshops

Individuals experiencing mid-life transitions, energy changes, or hormonal shifts.

Align & Activate

Jumpstart goal series

This concise series includes a 60-minute "Deep Dive" session for goal mapping, aligning with your values, and identifying barriers. It’s followed by 2 x 30-minute "Follow-up" sessions, providing accountability and refining your strategy.

Those navigating a transition (new role, schedule, diagnosis), wanting to build momentum around a specific goal, or preferring shorter, high-impact sessions.
