The Recreation Center offers several classes and workshops throughout the year dedicated to enhancing quality of life through healthy practices of all kinds. If you are interested in learning how to improve your "health-span" and build a community of support and connection, please check out one of the following options!:

Nirvana Sessions (Free, No registration is required)

Tuesdays, 12:00 PM - 12:20 PM, Rice Memorial Chapel
Sessions will run from January 9, 2024 until April 23, 2024.

Regular meditation sessions can yield long-term health benefits and reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety. Attend our FREE guided mindfulness meditations every Tuesday at noon, and start your journey to becoming a calmer, more peaceful you! No registration is required.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR)

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week, empirically supported program that teaches people how to utilize their innate resources and abilities to respond effectively to stress and pain. Each session, individuals will participate in guided meditation, gentle movement or other mindfulness-based practices, all within the context of a supportive group environment.
