ROPE offers a variety of sleeping bag options for to keep you comfortable out on your next camping trip. All sleeping bags come with a stuff sack for convenient storage.
What is an EN Comfort Rating? EN stands for European Norm Comfort Rating. At this temperature a "standard individual" should be comfortable in the sleeping bag. Keep in mind the individual and environmental conditions can impact how warm each person sleeps. ROPE recommends using the EN Comfort Rating as the lower limit for most recreational users. Experienced users may wish to consider the Lower EN rating in conjunction with their personal equipment like sleeping pad and clothing. |
Rental Equipment Policies
Rice University assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries resulting from the use of rented equipment.
If the equipment is returned damaged or excessively dirty, the renter may be subject to additional fees. If equipment is damaged beyond repair, the full retail value of the item and shipping costs will be charged.
Equipment returned past the due date will be charged a minimum $15 fee plus additional rental fees. If the gear is not returned within 10 days of the rental due date, the full retail value plus late fees will be charged.
All equipment must be returned to staff during rental service hours. Abandoned equipment will be assessed a $15 fee.
All unpaid fees will be charged to the patron's university account if payment is not made within 7 days of notification.
ROPE does not issue refunds in the event of patron cancellations. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the pick-up date will be issued their rental form as credit for a future rental within six months. Patrons are responsible for retaining their rental form.
Individuals renting gear for an organized group are liable for all equipment listed in the rental.
