Dr. Anatolia Vick serves as the Senior Assistant Director of Health and Well-Being and the Director of the Lifetime Physical Activity Program (LPAP) at Rice University. In this role, she leads all facets of Rice’s health, fitness, and well-being initiatives, focusing on fostering a proactive, inclusive, and empowered culture of health and wellness across the university community.
A proud native of Houston, Dr. Vick earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, where she also competed as a student-athlete on the women’s lacrosse team. She earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine and is a board-certified chiropractor, holding an active license in Texas. For more than seven years in clinical practice, she evaluated and treated a diverse range of patients, gaining firsthand insight into the reactive nature of traditional healthcare.
This experience sparked her deep commitment to prevention-focused education and programming. Driven by the belief that health is not merely the absence of illness but the presence of vitality, Dr. Vick is passionate about equipping individuals with the tools, knowledge, and mindset necessary to make informed decisions and cultivate lifelong well-being. Her mission is to bring innovative, evidence-based preventative services and specialized programs to the Rice community, empowering students, faculty, and staff to take ownership of their health through self-awareness and curiosity.
Dr. Vick is a devoted adventurer and family enthusiast outside her professional work. She enjoys traveling with her husband, children, extended family, and close friends. Whether scuba diving into the ocean's depths or hiking to the summits of remote peaks, she finds joy and inspiration in exploring the world’s natural wonders.
