Cara Caspersen

Cara Caspersen is the Coordinator for Competitive Sports for the Rice Recreation Center. She joined the Rice Recreation Center team in 2019 after finishing her master’s degree in Sport Management from Northern Illinois University. Cara oversees the Intramural and Club Sports programs, teaches Lifetime Physical Activity Program (LPAP) courses and co-coordinates the Summer Youth Activity Program. As a former soccer and rugby player, she is happy to have found a career that supports her passions, but sometimes wishes she didn’t have to be on the IM fields until so late in the night!

Originally from Tomball, Texas, Cara is so so happy to be back in her home state. In her spare time (and there isn’t much of it), she enjoys connecting with family, watching movies, reading, and playing in the occasional rugby match.
