For the foreseeable future, all patrons must wear a mask for their entire visit to the facility. This includes during your workout. To uphold new social distancing standards, the Rec Center will only grant access to a certain number of people at a time. Members can reserve one workout per day, starting five calendar days in advance, using our internal reservation system. Time slots will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Individuals may only make a reservation with a current Rec Center membership. If you are an active Rice Staff/Faculty Member or graduate student without a membership, you must purchase a membership before attempting to reserve a spot here.
No guests are allowed at this time.
Beginning Tuesday, November 2, Rec Center members will be able to sign up as early as 2 days in advance and up to one hour before a time slot. Members will also be able to cancel reservations up to 3 hours before their scheduled time slot.
Reservation Space Requirements
With more members making reservations at the Rec Center, we ask that you please stay in the designated area that you made your reservation for so that others can do the same.

Login using your Rice net ID or your user name and password using the local option at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Click the Rec Center Facility Access Reservation icon.
Choose which space you would like to utilize (cardio, Weight Room, Competition Pool).
Choose which date and time you would like to visit.
- Monday - Friday time slots are 75 minutes. Saturday and Sunday time slots are 50 minutes.
- Time slots may be reserved up to 3 days in advance for lap swim, cardio or weight room, and no later than 15 hours in advance.
Lap swim lanes will be limited during the following days and times:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Beginning Friday, October 2 at 6:00 a.m. the George R. Brown Tennis Center will open all courts for play/practice on eight (8) courts, limited to the following days and times:
- Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Click on Register for the desired date and time, this will take you to your name, click register. You may only register yourself for a workout time.
The waiver screen will appear and you must accept the waiver to continue with the registration reservation process.
A confirmation will appear, you will also get an emailed confirmation.
You may cancel your reservation up to 18 hours in advance.

Login using your Rice net ID or your user name and password using the local option at the top right hand corner of the screen.
Click your user name at the top right-hand corner and choose profile.
Click Programs at the left side of your screen.
You will see the registration times you chose.
You will have options for each registration time to view details, cancel or print your confirmation.
Click cancel and choose yes, cancel registration.
You will then see that your reservation registration was cancelled.
