Organic Strength, Agility and Mobility
This active, educational and fun class will explore a holistic approach to movement practice. From week to week, sessions will include a varied range of movement topics such as strength work, loaded progressive stretching to simultaneously build strong and functional flexibility, injury prevention exercises, partner movement games and play, animal movement and hand balancing, soft acrobatics, meditation and subtle energetic practices.
In each class, we will work both on developing isolated movement skills and integrating those into broader movement practices through the use of movement games and improvisational work. The overarching goal is to help you get better at everything you do, whether that involves weight lifting, swimming, playing competitive sports, dancing, practicing yoga or even just functioning better in your daily life.
All ages and abilities are welcome, and the teacher requests to be notified of any significant injuries or health conditions prior to the start of class.
