    Join us on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, as we celebrate the start of a new school year with some fun activities and free stuff! We will have an info table with all of our programming information set out, along with some fresh fruit, snacks, and giveaways throughout the day. There are bunch of great activities lined up for you, so check out the schedule and activity descriptions below for more information.

    6:00am-6:00pm - Info Table with Fall Programming, Fresh Fruit, Snacks, and Drinks (Rec Center Lobby)

    6:30am-7:30am - Turbokick (S.W.E.A.T. Class; MPR1)

    12:10pm-12:50pm - Express Yoga (Mind&Body Class; MPR3)

    12:15pm - Rec Center Tour (Rec Center Lobby)

    12:15pm-1:00pm - Boot Camp (S.W.E.A.T. Class; MPR1)

    3:00pm-6:00pm - The Main BASH!!! (in front of the Rec Center)

    Activity Descriptions:

    Turbokick: Turbokick is a mix of kickboxing and hip hop dance moves that gets your heart pumping!

    Express Yoga: Get all the benefits of yoga in this all-level, 40 minute, flow class. Express Yoga activates your mind and body and connects you to the present moment. Modifications are instructed for beginners while experienced practitioners may choose more advanced postures.

    Rec Center Tour: Have you been thinking about getting a membership to the Rec Center and need a little more information? Come get a tour of the facility where you can learn about everything that we have to offer with a Rec Center membership. There will be two tours. The first will start at 12:15pm, and the second at 5:15pm. Both tours will begin in the Rec Center Lobby.

    Boot Camp: Take a risk on this heart-pounding class that features sport conditioning drills, strength training and balance exercises.

    Owl Pump: This strength and conditioning class works all major muscle groups. Exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls will strengthen and tone your entire body faster than your average weight-room routine!

    Mat Pilates: The Pilates series of exercises will help develop strength, flexibility and coordination, thereby improving postural alignment and balance.

    Zumba: This is a fusion of Latin, International and popular music/dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system!

    Hatha Yoga: A mind-body practice that allows one to experience the present moment through balanced alignment in physical postures (asanas), deep breathing practices (pranayama), and mindful awareness by compassionately listening to one's body.

    ***Taco Me Crazy Food Truck: The Taco Me Crazy Food Truck will be giving out a taco to the first 100 people to bring them a free taco ticket. Tickets will be available at the table located next to the food truck beginning at 3:00pm. Once all tickets have been claimed, anyone wishing to get tacos or other items from the food truck may purchase them separately.
